Why Choose PhotoFit?
🔒 Complete Privacy
Unlike online photo studios or generic image editors, PhotoFit processes everything in your browser using JavaScript. Your photos never touch our servers—we literally cannot access them. This isn't just a promise; it's how the technology works.
Perfect for sensitive documents like passport photos or exam applications where privacy matters.
💯 Always Free
Photo studios charge ₹50-200 for exam photos. PhotoFit is completely free with no hidden charges, subscriptions, or premium features. All exam presets and features are available to everyone.
We support our service through ethical advertising while keeping PhotoFit accessible to all students and applicants.
⚡ Lightning Fast
No waiting for uploads or downloads from servers. Client-side processing means instant results. Select your exam, upload your photo, and download the resized version in seconds.
Works even with slow internet connections since processing happens on your device.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is my photo uploaded to a server?
No! All image processing happens entirely in your browser using JavaScript. Your photo never leaves your device. We use the HTML5 Canvas API to resize and optimize images locally on your computer or phone.
Which image formats are supported?
You can upload JPG, JPEG, or PNG images. The output will be in JPG format as required by most exam applications. You can also choose PNG or PDF output for specific use cases.
Are the 2026 specifications accurate?
We update specifications regularly based on official notifications from exam boards. However, requirements can change, so we always recommend verifying with the official exam website before submitting your application. Check our Resources page for official links.
Can I use PhotoFit on my mobile phone?
Absolutely! PhotoFit is built with a mobile-first design and works perfectly on smartphones and tablets. You can take a photo with your phone camera and immediately resize it using PhotoFit.
What if my exam is not listed?
You can use the "Custom Dimensions" option to enter specific pixel dimensions required by your exam. You can also submit an exam request through our contact form, and we'll consider adding it as a preset.
How do I know if my photo meets the requirements?
PhotoFit automatically resizes your photo to the exact dimensions and file size required by the selected exam. However, we cannot verify photo quality, background color, facial expression, or attire—you must ensure these meet the exam's guidelines.
Is PhotoFit really free?
Yes, completely free with no hidden charges or premium features. All exam presets and functionality are available to everyone. We support our service through ethical advertising (Google AdSense) to keep it free for all users.
Can I resize multiple photos at once?
Currently, PhotoFit processes one photo at a time. However, the process is so fast (just a few seconds) that you can easily resize multiple photos one after another.
What happens to my photo after I download it?
Nothing! Since all processing happens in your browser, there's no photo stored anywhere on our servers. Once you close the browser tab, the photo is gone from memory. Only you have access to the downloaded file on your device.
Does PhotoFit work offline?
Once the page is loaded, the image processing works offline since it happens in your browser. However, you need an internet connection to initially load the PhotoFit website.
